These Reseller tabs let you put your own name on the service: custom nameservers, your logo and title in your customers’ panels, an API for automation (for example from your billing system), and firewall/ModSecurity tools for your customers.
Where to find it: Reseller → Nameservers, Branding, Api Manager, Firewall and Mod Security tabs.
Nameservers
Custom (“private”) nameservers such as ns1.yourbrand.com hide the hosting provider’s name from your customers.
- Create the nameserver hostnames at your domain registrar (often called glue records or child nameservers) and point them to the IP addresses your provider gives you.
- Open the Nameservers tab. Choose Use the main nameservers to use the provider’s, or enter your own under Nameserver.
- Click Save NameServers settings (Create and save NameServers).
- If your customers already have accounts, the panel shows how many accounts and DNS zones would change and asks whether to update them now. Choose YES to update all zones automatically, or NO to do it later.
Customers then set your nameservers at their own domain registrar.
Branding
Customise how the user panel looks for your customers:
- Upload the logo image — PNG recommended, about 200 px wide. Drag and drop the image.
- Configure the footer — text shown at the bottom of the panel; HTML is allowed.
- Configure the user panel title — shown in the browser tab.
- Backup email, from name and from address — the sender of automatic backup emails to your customers.
Save the settings; your customers see the new branding the next time they open the panel.
Api Manager
The API lets other software — for example WHMCS, Blesta or your own scripts — create and manage your customers’ accounts automatically.
- Click Create new api token (Add new token).
- Enter a Short Name / Description.
- Ip Origin — the IP address of the system that will call the API.
%allows any IP (not recommended). - Click Generate to create the Key code (token). Keep it secret.
- Tick the API Functions this token may use: Account creation, Account Update, Account Delete, Suspend account, Activate account, Change of password, List packages, Autologin, and package management.
- Choose the response Format and save.
Click a function name in the Functions list to see its parameters, for example user (account username), domain, pass, email, package, autossl and lang for account creation.
Warning: Anyone with the token can manage your customers’ accounts from the allowed IP. Restrict the token to the IP of your billing system and allow only the functions it needs. Delete tokens you no longer use.
Firewall
The server firewall may block IP addresses after repeated failed logins — often a customer who mistyped a password. In the Firewall tab, enter the customer’s IP address and remove it from the block list (Remove Ip Firewall), or add trusted IPs to the whitelist.
Mod Security
Works like the user’s ModSecurity page, but for your customers’ domains and subdomains: switch ModSecurity on or off, Check IP to find the rule that blocked a visitor, and Edit Rules to disable a rule ID for one domain.
